Leslie

Leslie Fierro is a Professor in Progream Evaluation at the Max Bell School at McGill University. She is currently an active member of the American Evaluation Association, where she serves as the Co Editor-In Chief of New Directions for Evaluation. Leslie’s research interests relate to creating robust ecosystems for effective evaluation within nations, building organizational evaluation capacity, and developing and implementing evaluation policies that promote high-quality, equitable evaluation practice. As part of this work, she is engaging with her students on examining the potential influence of evaluation policy in the design, conduct, and use of program evaluations within the government sector. Leslie also works collaboratively with non-profit organizations and government agencies, to develop long-term strategies for implementing monitoring and evaluation activities that are capable of providing timely, informative, and actionable insights about organization and program performance.
